GRUFT MYCOBACTERIAL SUPPLEMENT

Rehydrate the contents of 1 vial aseptically with 2.5 ml sterile distilled water. Appropriate concentrations of the supplement can be achieved by absorbing 0.05 ml of reconstituted supplement on slants prepared from 8 ml L-J Medium. (slants prepared with 150 ml of sterile TM 375 – LOWENSTEIN JENSEN MEDIUM BASE (L. J. MEDIUM) / TMV 375 – LOWENSTEIN JENSEN MEDIUM BASE (L. J. MEDIUM) (VEG.) / TM 526 – L.J. MEDIUM W/O. STARCH (as per International Standard) / TM 2167 – LOWENSTEIN JENSEN MEDIUM BASE (L. J. MEDIUM) (as per IP) (DOUBLE PACK) and 250 ml of whole egg emulsion collected aseptically).
