GELATIN CRYSTAL, Bloom Type B

Gelatin Crystal Bloom Type-B is a protein-based material and presented as creamish to light yellow crystals or flakes with a characteristic, non-pungent odour. It is readily soluble in hot water, yielding a clear solution, which facilitates its use in different formulations. It is commonly employed as a suspending agent to assist in the uniform dispersion of particles in aqueous systems. It also serves as an encapsulating agent, which can form protective coatings around active ingredients, and as a tablet binder, that imparts cohesion and structural integrity in solid dosage forms. Since it is suitable for enhancing stability, consistency and performance of the formulation, it is suitable for applications across pharmaceutical and laboratory preparation processes.

Used as a suspending agent, binder, and encapsulating material in formulations.
