RPF SUPPLEMENT (Fibrinogen plasma trypsin inhibitor Supplement)

Rehydrate the contents of 1 vial by adding 10 ml of sterile distilled water. Turn the vial upside-down slowly two to three times avoiding frothing. Alternately the contents may be dissolved by gentle stirring for 1-2 minutes with a sterile glass rod or a stirrer. Immediate dissolution is not obtained. Keep it standing for 1-2 hours for better dissolution. Slight particulate matter may be observed which does not affect the performance parameter of the supplement. Aseptically add the supplement in 90 ml of sterile, molten TM 358 – BAIRD PARKER AGAR BASE / TMV 358 – BAIRD PARKER AGAR BASE(VEG.) / TM 1579 – BAIRD PARKER AGAR BASE (RPF) (ISO 6888-1 & 2:1999) / TM 2300 – RPF AGAR BASE (ISO 6888- 2:1999) cooled to 48?C. Add the supplement slowly from the side of the flask with simultaneous gentle swirling of the flask to mix the supplement and the medium homogeneously. Pour into sterile petri plates and use immediately. Note : The temperature of the molten, sterile Baird Parker Agar Base or Baird Parker Agar Base (Veg) should be strictly 48?C at the time of addition of the supplement. Any variation in this temperature may give erroneous false negative results.
