TYCSB SUPPLEMENT

Rehydrate the contents of 1 vial aseptically with 1 ml of 0.2 N Sodium hydroxide, further add 9 ml of sterile distilled water. Mix well and aseptically add to 1000 ml of sterile, molten, cooled (45-50?C) TM 2398 – TRYPTONE YEAST EXTRACT CYSTINE W/ SUCROSE & W/O BACITRACIN AGAR BASE (TYCSB AGAR BASE). Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates.

Recommended for the selective isolation of S.mutans.
